What We Miss In The Moment
Boudoir Is A Radicle, Outward Expression of Love.
Sometimes photoshoots express a love for others, but they always symbolize an act of deep love for self. When I read Sherri's questionnaire, I got the sense that she didn't see just how brave and confident she truly is.
Sherri's story struck me as a tale of resilience and compassion. She was on her own at a young age, built a full life for herself, started her own family, and now supports her children with grace.
The family she's built for herself has been through immense hardships over the past few years. Rather than buckling under life's pressures, Sherri chose to stand tall and confident in life and in front of the camera!
Sherri wanted to do this photoshoot as a gift for her boyfriend, but also as a reminder to herself that she is a strong, sexy, and confident woman.
I notice that women often write they are doing a boudoir shoot because they want to feel strong, sexy, confident, etcetera. They don't always see that simply by choosing to do something as empowering as boudoir is a reflection of a strong, sexy and confident woman in itself.
The choice to do anything out of love and respect for yourself is courageous and beautiful- whether you realize it in the moment, or in the images that follow...
