What a time we’re living in.
We have all been affected by the COVID-19 crisis in one way or another. Whether it be economically, emotionally, or in work. It’s difficult for me to get my head out of the fog as I process the unfolding of this pandemic. The thought of editing or even getting on my computer feels gut-wrenching. But we all must stay positive and persevere!
I took last week to absorb it all and here’s what I came up with: Replenish.
I’m reminded of the Dust Bowl that occurred nearly one century ago and what we learned from it then. Farmers cannot continue to plant their crops in the same field over and over without depleting the nutrients from the soil. They must move their crops to give the earth time to replenish.
Just like humans— we cannot relive the same busy schedule over and over again without depleting ourselves. Now is a time to slow down and replenish the mind, body, and soul. Connect with the earth. Reach out to loved ones. Tap into the place within that brings your spirit peace.
We’re all on this ship together and we have two choices. We can either sink with the ship, or we can swim. Let’s weather this storm together! The sunshine will return and this will all make some kind of sense to us when we reach the other side of the rainbow.
I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe in your home.
It’s difficult to stay isolated from the community we cherish, but we all have a role to play in containing and minimizing the spread of this virus.
Here are a few ways to make the most of this
• Go for a walk & get fresh air daily
• Finally start reading that book you keep meaning to get around to
• Deep clean and organize your house
• Enjoy a slow evening with a glass of wine on your back patio
• Host a virtual party with friends on Zoom or Google Hangouts
• Support small businesses by ordering take-out
Even better… walk to your fav restaurant to pick up take out & a bottle of wine and have a virtual dinner party with your best friends!
A Loving Reminder:
Many small businesses are at risk of closing their doors permanently due to the nation-wide shutdown. If you have the means to support them, please do. Here’s how you can help:
