All Voulez Vous portrait sessions are fine art creations— but what makes fine art different from other portrait experiences? Fine Art is defined as art developed primarily for aesthetics or beauty (as opposed to art that is designed for practical function). In photography, fine art is classified as imagery created in line with the vision of the photographer to express an idea, message, or emotion.
Booking a session at Voulez Vous means that you are signing up for an opportunity to bring a creative expression of your own beauty to life. I conduct every shoot with a well thought out creative process. None of my clients are subject to pose merely for the sake of a sexy photo. I work intentionally with light, shadows, curves, and lines to accentuate the unique beauty of every individual.
Why Choose Fine Art?
My clients come to me with a personal journey that they’re ready to share through creative portraits. For some it’s a story of body transformation, for others it’s their journey to self-love. Women come to me at significant points in their life wishing to capture the essence of what they’re going through. Engagement, maternity, after significant life events, and at different milestone ages— they all show up with a desire to create an image that captures a feeling or tells this specific chapter of their story.
This is what boudoir is to me. It’s a medium that documents the depth of a person during moments that might otherwise be fleeting. In the photos of Elaina below, I was so inspired by her strength. She was comfortable and confident in front of the camera and carried a genuine energy from the second she stepped foot in the studio. I’m so happy we were able to creatively capture this vivacious time in Elaina’s journey.
Words from The Model:
“My shoot with Lana was so much fun! I felt empowered, strong, and beautiful. I loved that we took a wide variety of shots — from professional head shots to edgy, high fashion looks. Lana and her team thought through every detail of the experience, and I am thrilled with my photographs. Highly recommend!” – Elaina Osteen
