When I first met Lana, it was last year at the end of my fall semester of senior year at the University of Tulsa. I just graduated as an Art major with an emphasis in photography, but I was in the midst of a creative funk before my internship at Voulez Vous started.

Shaquelle recently came to Voulez Vous for her first ever boudoir photoshoot. She shared, "I was introduced to the idea of a boudoir session by a friend and it just seems very fun and exciting. I have never done a boudoir session."

The sun was shining with scattered clouds, there was a coolness in the air, and the car was loaded with props and wardrobe options from the Voulez Vous Boudoir studio. 9:30 am; we headed towards Arkansas for Beaver Lake. No destination in mind, but to just go and see what spots inspire us. It was a two and a half hour ride, so Sarah & I had time to visit and get to know each other better. This is always beneficial because it really does help the client relax and feel comfortable once in front of the camera.

Angela, a poetic soul and a dear friend of mine, approached me a while back to capture her during a special season of transformation. After a lengthy career in aerospace, Angela decided to leave to pursue her life-long dream of becoming an author!

My first maternity photoshoot was in 2001, just as I started my photographic journey. I set up a black backdrop near a large living room window, posed my muse on the floor with a white chiffon piece of fabric, and went to work. When the film developed and I picked up the prints, my heart skipped a beat… I was mesmerized… they were so beautiful. I knew my client was going to be so happy and I was proud of the job I did.
